I’m Wellyngton Amaral, born in São Paulo, Brazil, and today I live in Santo André.
I’m a father of two, husband, and caretaker of a golden retriever who takes up a disproportionate amount of space in our house. 😉
I’ve been a technology professional for over 20 years. Along the way, I’ve worked at large multinational financial institutions and gone through different areas and challenges in the field.
I’m also a maker. I like building things, taking them apart, fixing them, and figuring out how they work. I’m a DIY practitioner and keep a computing lab and a workshop at home where I find room for woodworking, metalwork, mechanics, electronics and electrical.
Much of what I learn in one of these worlds ends up showing up in the other. An idea born in a personal project can change how I solve a professional problem. And a professional experience often becomes a tool or knowledge for something I’m building at home.
